Love & Marriage

Verses in the bible that talks about love and marriage.
Interested?

In the bible, we first always hear about
God's definition of love.

Marriage is important too and should be valued because God when God created Adam and Eve, he thought that man should never be alone.
Marriage is a wonderful way to officially celebrate in public that you are starting a life together leaving your parents to join together making a new family.

Love
is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

18 Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him."19 So the LORD God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man* to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one.20 He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him. 21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the LORD God took out one of the man's ribs* and closed up the opening.22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.
23 "At last!" the man exclaimed.

"This one is bone from my bone,
and flesh from my flesh!
She will be called 'woman,'
because she was taken from 'man.'"

24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. 25 Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.

Genesis 2:18-25
(Story of Adam and Eve)

God also wants us to love one another. Even though vows are exchanged at weddings, couples normally end up going through struggles through their life trying to agree/accept issues and conflicts they'll come across. Sometimes one or the other may have too much pride, or maybe they're both stubborn. Sometimes dealing with problems can lead to frustration or irritation with one another. But we should always remember to be more like Christ. Some examples of traits to keep is said in Colossians 3:12-15

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.13 Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:12-15

More verses...

22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the savior.24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.Ephesians 5:22–24

6 So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Matthew 19:6

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
Ephesians 5:25

31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
Ephesians 5:31 (NIV)

THREE

Open Up The Sky

Our beloved Father please come down and meet us
We are waiting on Your touch
Open up the heavens shower down Your presence
We respond to Your great love

We won’t be satisfied with anything ordinary
We won’t be satisfied at all

Open up the sky fall down like rain
We don’t want blessings we want You
Open up the sky fall down like fire
We don’t want anything but You

Our beloved Jesus we just want to see You
In the glory of Your light
Earthly things don’t matter they just fade and shatter
When we’re touched by love divine

Here we go let’s go to the throne
The place that we belong
Right into His arms

TWO

Every kind of love existing in this world can't compare to how wonderful and amazing God's love for us feels. Once we also start following God we start to share with others too. Like how random people you'll meet one day can turn into a blessing just having them in your life the next. It's also just the overall feeling of peace in your heart and grace that God gives us brings me to say that God's love is just completely indescribable.

And I'm at this point in my walk with God that I'm starting to feel the pain and sorrow he feels for those who choose not to follow him. I want to do anything I can to help bring those who have fallen away, back to God because I know you just can't do it alone. So if you're reading this right now and know that you've fallen away but want to come back and need help, don't hesitate to leave me a message or a comment. I would love to share with you and help get you back on your walk with God.

Right now I've been helping a few people in their walk trying to grow but I'm also learning patience with them that in some ways I must too remember that it's about God not about me. I need to always keep my arrows out instead of in. And I hope that these people that I've been sharing with will learn to know and follow God like I've started this summer. It's a turning point in my life that I will never forget.

I also want you to know that if there's anything you have questions on or any prayers feel free to comment. If you know my personally then come ask me yourself and maybe we can plan a short bible study. God loves you so much, you don't even know. And if you only knew how much joy I have that you're even taking some of your time reading this! It doesn't matter too much to me if you disagree with me about God and the love that I have to share, I just wanted you to know that whatever your reasons may be that I will be praying for you. Thank you all who have been following up on this little blog that I've started :)

Here's a few verses coming off of Hebrews for you:

7 That is why the Holy Spirit says,

"Today when you hear his voice,
8 don't harden your hearts
as Israel did when they rebelled,
when they tested me in the wilderness.

9 There your ancestors tested and tried my patience,
even though they saw my miracles for forty years.

10 So I was angry with them, and I said,
'Their hearts always turn away from me.
They refuse to do what I tell them.'

11 So in my anger I took an oath:
'They will never enter my place of rest.'"*

12 Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters.* Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still "today," so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.14 For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.15 Remember what it says:

"Today when you hear his voice,
don't harden your hearts
as Israel did when they rebelled."*

ONE

"From there you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him".
Deuteronomy 4:29

I really believe that God speaks to me through scripture the most. I've been praying and wanting to hear from God but all I keep ever getting reminded when I randomly read some verses is that I need to continue to keep searching. It's really hard to keep reading as much as I did at summer camp when I have all these distractions going on with little to do tasks I need to complete. Now that I'm feeling better and recovering, I can probably get a lot more done. Closing this short blog, I always wanted to leave it off with one of my favorite verses. Hopefully this will leave you as a reminder of trusting God with our lives.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make our paths straight".
Proverbs 3:5-6
